Thenk you for an informative and instructive website. We only run a smallholding here in South Yorkshire but I will return regularly to your site for information and to be educated. Have you written that book yet?

Kind regards

This is such a brilliant site I have very much enjoyed reading through it. So well put together and gives a fascinating and concise record of the ever-changing farming methods and practices.

It is 5 years since I first found your site, and left a favourable comment. Still walking round and across your land regularly is a pleasure, as is the superbly detailed site, which continues to grow in depth of information. It is a work to be proud of.(Also, many thanks for continued use of the High Letham Midden - RNLI still supported!!)

You have an interesting site. I live in the Northwestern US (Montana)and come from a farming background. Our farms tend to be large-- up to 10-15 thousand acres for the largest. You need at least 2000 acres to make a decent living for a family of four. We are semi-arid 8- 12 inches per year. It is interesting how you mention government and special interest pests. We have many of the same problems (regulations) here. Mother nature is a better educator. Ta Ta For Now
